Hash Names

Every hasher gets a "hash name". If the name refers to a part of the anatomy normally covered by clothing, so much the better. If the hasher is new, a temporary hash name is assigned until a permanent one can be found.

Names are not bestowed at random but only after the Religious Advisor determines that the hasher has done something that suggests an appropriate soubriquet. Some GDH3 examples can be seen on the Receding Hareline page.

When a name has been determined, the hasher is christened. Afterwards, large quantities of hot water and washing detergent are recommended. A sense of humour also helps.
